Let's Enter Our School Kitchen

Aggiungi qualche altra informazione su questo elemento...

In the month of April and May 2016 the class 2°AP had an alternative learning experience: instead of studying from an already existing book, they created their own e-guide to learn the specific language of cooking. They focussed on their school kitchen and used it to take photos and ….inspiration!

The result is a handy and nice ebook titled “Let's Enter Our School Kitchen!”, which also other classes might find interesting to leaf through. Have a nice reading!

Luca Cremona, a student from 2° AP, was asked some questions about this experience.

INTERVIEWER: Did you like the experience?

LUCA: Yes, I liked it very much because we did something different and new. It was not the usual way to work and learn.

INTERVIEWER: How was work organised?

LUCA: The teacher divided us into small groups. Every group received a topic and some material to read and analyse. Then the different groups wrote their ebooks with an app called BookCreator. Finally the teacher put all the different ebooks together.

INTERVIEWER: What was the topic of your group in particular?

LUCA: The topic of my group was “Safety in the Kitchen”. We made a list of the important things you must do in the kitchen to prevent accidents.

INTERVIEWER: Did you like working with your classmates?

LUCA: Yes, I did. I like working in group because we can exchange ideas. It is nice, but only if all the people in the group collaborate.

INTERVIEWER: Do you prefer using traditional books or ebooks?

LUCA: Ebooks are nice and interesting, but I like also traditional books.

I love Camden Town!!

The most beautiful place I visited in London was Camden Town.

One of the most underground places of the city but packed with tourists. Camden is a huge market with stalls and shops themed strange and unusual. The most curious thing is the part with the food, there are stalls that come from all over the world: Congo, Spain, France, America and also many Italian cooking dishes of our culture.

Choose what to eat is a real difficulty because they offer you samples so you savor a piece of every country and every story of / a / cook to prepare him.

So then you go crazy and you get to choose with your eyes closed. Go away from there it was tiring. I left a piece of me among those scents.

Our visit in Duke Palace with the guide in English language

27 gennaio 2016

We visited this important palace with a guide that described it in English language. This is my report: Duke Palace is a famous Palace situated in Square Sordello, in Mantua, that it was built between the 14th and the 17th century.

In this Palace, lived an important family for the town of Mantua, the "Gonzaga", that

lived there from 1328 to 1707. The buildings are connected by some corridors and galleries and they are enriched with gardens.

In Duke Palace there are some of 500 rooms and they occupy an area of 34.000 m². In this Palace, there is an important room, the "Room of the Spouses", that it was built from 1390 to 1406 and this room was frescoed by Andrea Mantegna, an important painter of the Gonzaga's court, from 1465 to 1474. This wall is very important because it represents the important family for the city of Mantua.

Salmon

Olive oil

Onion

Cream

Lime

This dish is composed with kamut and cocoa tagliatelle with salmon, orange reduction, sour cream and lime hot.

It is a creative dish because the cocoa and fish are ingredients which have never been used together.

The taste is characterized by the cocoa that is bitter and the sweet taste of salmon, everything is accompanied with the freshness of the cream and lime. The color is given by the orange reduction. An explosion of colors and tastes.
